South Bend - Fred J. Vogler, 63, of 212 Devonshire Drive, South Bend, died about 8 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, after a brief illness. He was born on Dec. 19, 1919 in Mishawaka, and was a livelong resident of this area. He had been an accountant for United Export Corp., South Bend.

 

On Oct. 19, 1946, in Mishawaka, he married Jean Stuller, and she survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald J. of Mishawaka and Thomas R. of Indianapolis; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Louis (Lenore) Spart of Mishawaka. He was a member of St. Anthony de Pauda Catholic Church, South Bend.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Everett Ballard Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Yast of St. Anthony’s Church will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.

 

He was a veteran of World War II and was a life member of American Legion Post 161 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the National Association of Accountants and past-president of the St. Joseph County Diabetic Association. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Diabetic Association.
