SOUTH BEND - Margaret E. Waelbroeck,
80, of Michigan 62, Edwardsburg, formerly of South Bend, died at
9:10 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, of natural
causes. Mrs. Waelbroeck was born March 11, 1914, in South Bend
and was a lifelong area resident.
On Nov. 28, 1935, in South Bend, as Margaret
E. Van Lake, she married Charles Waelbroeck. He died June
23, 1991. She is survived by a daughter, Judith Schneeberger of
White Pigeon; a son, William C. of LaPorte; seven grandchildren;
three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Szczypski of
South Bend; and a brother, Daniel Van Lake of Granger. She was a
member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, and Mishawaka
Eagles Lodge.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions
may be made to American Heart Association.
