SOUTH BEND - Rose Wagner, 89, of South Bend, IN, passed away Monday, October 15, 2007, in St. Paul's Healthcare. She was born on December 13, 1917, in Croswell, MI, to Baisle and Emma (Beert) Persyn.

 

On May 27, 1939, in Mishawaka, IN, in St. Bavo's Church, she married Gordon C. Wagner, who preceded her in death March 17, 1996. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her daughter, Susan (David) Pearman of Phoenix, AZ; her son, Charles (Joan) Wagner of South Bend; one grandson, David Charles (Karen) Wagner; one great-granddaughter, Madeline Wagner; and one sister, Elsie DeCook of Mishawaka, IN. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie DeRaeve and Maggie Ghyselinck; and four brothers, Cyril, Gus, Charles and Chris Persyn. Mrs. Wagner was a member of the Morris Park Country Club, South Bend. She was the widow of a lifetime Elks member.

 

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 20, 2007, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin will officiate. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 11:00 AM Saturday until time of services.
