Chester P. Wallace

February 25, 1921 - November 12, 1978

 

Chester P. Wallace, 57, of 308 W Lawrence, died at 7am Sunday in St Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, after an extended illness.  Born on February 25, 1921, in Piedmont KS, he moved to Mishawaka from Tennessee in 1930.  He worked 23 years with the Studebaker Corp., and was employed at Dodge Corp since 1965.

 

Surviving are his mother, Mrs Althea Wallace of Mishawaka; two daughters, Miss Paula Wallace of Mishawaka and Miss Susan Wallace of South Bend; two sons, Raymond C. of Mishawaka and James P. of South Bend; a grandchild, and a sister, Mrs. Melvin Williams of Mishawaka.

 

Services will be at 11am Tuesday at Bubb Funeral Chapel with Rev Jack Bellairs, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.  Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today.  Wallace was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360 and was a WW II Army veteran.
