Lillian Wallisch (July 7, 1917 - Oct. 11, 2001)

Lillian M. Wallisch, 84, of Birchwood Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 4:32 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital.

Lillian was born in South Bend, Ind., on July 7, 1917, and was a lifelong area resident. She was employed for many years in food service with Stewarts Catering and the Cardinal Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church.

On Nov. 23, 1939, as Lillian M. Bognar, she married George J. Wallisch, who passed away on Nov. 6, 1978.

She is survived by two nieces, Kathy Lyons of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Nancy Hammock of Granger, Ind.; one nephew, Tom Wartha of Oakton, Va.; and by a sister-in-law, Hildegarde Cox of Mishawaka, and a brother-in-law, Albert Wallisch of San Pierre, Ind.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Monica Catholic Church, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to St. Monica Catholic Church.

MISHAWAKA — Lillian M. Wallisch, 84, of Birchwood Drive, died Thursday in Saint Joseph Community Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Monica Catholic Church, where friends may call one hour before services. Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
