Ethel M. Wallman

Ethel M. Wallman, 84, residing on Cypress Way, South Bend, Ind., died on Tuesday morning, April 18, in her home. She was born on Feb. 3, 1916, in Oak Park, Ill., to the late Herbert A. and Lillian (Jahnke) Milling, and lived in this community most of her life.

 

On July 3, 1940, in Jonesville, Mich., as Ethel Milling, she married Ray F. Wallman, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1993. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Milling. Mrs. Wallman is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Donna (David) Wilmes of South Bend and Nancy (Scott) Moore of Cleveland, Ohio; a son and his wife, Gary (Carol) Wallman of Sturgis, Mich.; six grandchildren, Julie, Jeff, Laurie, Jennifer, Katie and Kelly Ray; and by two great-grandchildren, Michael and Sarah.

 

Memorial services for Ethel Wallman will be at 3 p.m. today, April 20, in Zion United Church of Christ, 715 E. Wayne, South Bend. Rev. W. Robert Manning, pastor of the church, will officiate. Cremation will take place. Burial of the cremains will follow at a later date in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Contributions in memory of Ethel M. Wallman may be made to Zion United Church of Christ, 715 East Wayne, South Bend, IN 46617. The Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend, is handling arrangements.
