Leo Warbington

Leo Warbington, 71, of 518 E. Cedar St., South Bend, Ind., passed away Sunday, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Doraville, Ga. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II; and later, he moved to New York. From there, in 1951, he took up residency in South Bend. He retired from the University of Notre Dame where he worked in building services. He is survived by his father, Arthur Bankston of South Bend; two daughters, Carmen Warbington of South Bend and Williea Warbington of Rosedale, N.Y.; two sons, Patrick Warbington of South Bend and DeWan Warbington of Gainesville, Fla.; and other relatives. His mother, Ossie Warbington, and son, Leo Warbington Jr., preceded him in death.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, in Faith Christian Center Church, 56165 Mayflower Road, South Bend. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the church. Clark Funeral Chapel is handling arrangements.
