WALKERTON - Hazel M. (Schultz) Ward,
88, of 1004 Ohio St., died at 12:48 p.m. Tuesday in Miller's
Merry Manor, Plymouth, after an illness. Mrs. Ward was born Nov.
9, 1905, in Chicago, and lived in Walkerton since 1943, coming
from Chicago.
On Dec. 7, 1927, in Chicago, as Hazel M. Brandon,
she married Albert William Schultz. He died Oct. 18, 1976.
She is survived by her second husband, Junior Ward of Walkerton;
a son, William A. Schultz of Covington, Tenn.; a stepson, Tim of
Koontz Lake; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Ruth Drews of Sarasota, Fla. A daughter, Shirley Holcomb,
died in 1973. She was a member of Walkerton First Baptist Church,
American Legion Post 189 Ladies Auxiliary, and Lincoln Township
Home Demonstration Club.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in
Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and two
hours before services on Friday in the funeral home.
