Sister M. Brendan Warren CSC, 94, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in her residence. She was born Oct. 25, 1897 in Port Dover, Ontario, Canada as Emma Warren. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Jan. 6, 1921, coming from Salt Lake City. She was received as a novice Aug. 15, 1921 and professed her vows Aug. 15, 1923. She was a registered nurse and served in hospitals conducted by the Sisters of Holy Cross, including St. Joseph Medical Center in South Bend; and hospital in Anderson, Ind.; Fresno, Calif.; Columbus, Ohio;Salt Lake City; and Jacksonville, Ill. She also served as director of nurses, pharmacy medical records and medical librarian. She retired to the convent in 1981.

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Chapel at St. Mary’s, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today in the chapel.
