SOUTH BEND — Geraldine Mary Warrick, 94, of Valley View Health Care, Elkhart, Ind., formerly of North Ironwood Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:40 a.m. on Tues-day, March 21, in the health care center.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1905, in Kalamazoo, Mich., to the late Hazel P. (Snyder) and Leone Long.

 

On Dec. 25, 1928, in Elkhart, as Geraldine Mary Long, she married John L. Warrick, a local attorney, who also preceded her in death on July 9, 1978.

 

She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Frick of St. Louis, Mo.; and by a grandson, Robert Frick of St. Charles, Mo.

 

Mrs. Warrick was an elementary teacher for the South Bend Community School Corporation, and was the owner of Jack and Jill Nursery School, South Bend. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University, was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, South Bend, the Women's Auxiliary of the Hearing and Speech Center of St. Joseph County, Thalia Sorority, and the Morris Park Country Club. She was active in the Republican Women's Organization, the Women's College Club and the Women's Art League, and did volunteer work at Memorial Hospital.

 

Services for Mrs. Warrick will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 24, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Rev. David Morrow from the First Presbyterian Church will conduct the funeral services.

 

Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum.
