Mrs. Johanna Wartha, 92, of 1110 N. Adams St., died at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Healthwin Hospital after an illness of two months. She was born on September 23, 1875, in Austria. Her husband, Michael, died on July 16, 1950. Surviving are two sons, Henry J. and Rudolph M., both of South Bend; a daughter, Sister Mary Candida, Order of St. Benedict, Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. A combined rosary by members of the parish and the Alter-Rosary Society will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bendictine Convent, Tucson.
