Edward W. Watt

MISHAWAKA - Edward W. Watt, 78, of Prospect Drive, passed away Thursday April 10, at 5:23 p.m. in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mr. Watt was born July 11, 1918 in Bowdon, N.D., and had lived in Mishawaka since 1945.

 

On May 23, 1945, in Mishawaka, he married Florence Huston. She survives along with one daughter, Mary Watt of Mishawaka and one sister, Anna Mae Poole of Birmingham, Ala. Mr. Watt was employed by IMB as a field engineer for 42 years, retiring in 1983. He was a charter member of the Ella Morris Foundation, a member of First Baptist Church South Bend, and a patron of the South Bend Symphony Orchestra.

 

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, South Bend, with Rev. Dr. Kennard Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Osceola. Friends may call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, 120 W.
