Sister M. Trintas Weber CSC, 92, of Saint Mary’s Convent, Notre Dame, died there at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday after a lengthy illness, She was a musician and taught in the music department at St. Mary’s College from 1930 to 1964. Her first assignment was at Sacred Heart Academy in Fort Wayne from 1914 to 1922. She also taught at St. Joseph Academy and St. Joseph High Schools in South Bend, as well as having other assignments in Logansport and Austin, Texas.

 

She was born Feb. 13, 1891 as Florence Weber in Union City, Ind., and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on July 23, 1912. On July 16, 1913 she was received as a novice and made her first profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1915. Surviving are two sisters, Sister M. Lucille CSC of St. Mary’s Convent and Miss Edna Weber of Union City.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s. Friends may call today and until services in the St. Mary’s Convent Parlors, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. today.
