Mrs. John Wegh

Mrs. Barbara O. Wegh, 79, of 2209 S. Carlisle, died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness of several months. She was retired from the Studebaker Co. Born on June 16, 1901, in Hungary, she had lived in South Bend for 68 years after coming from Hungary. On Feb. 3, 1917, in South Bend, she married John Wegh, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Casper and Mrs. Irene Derda, both of South Bend; two sons, John R. of South Bend and Emery of Terryville, Conn.; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Pierce of South Bend; and a brother Stephen Herczeg of South Bend

Services will be a t 9 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Rev. Anthony Molnar, associate pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where the Sacred Hearrt and Rosary Society and the Harvest House will recite the rosary at 3 p.m. Friday, and the St. Ann Society will recite the rosary at 7:15 p.m. She was a member of the Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, the William Penn Club, and the Harvest House. Memorial contributions may be made to the Council for the Retarded at Logan Center.
