Diana J. Wegner

MISHAWAKA - Diana J. Wegner, 70, of Berkley Circle, passed away at home on March 3rd. Diana was born on February 25, 1938, in Mishawaka, as the daughter of Levi and Josephine (Janczycki) Eastman. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are a daughter, Dana Wegner, and a son, Bruce Tassell, both of Mishawaka; three grandchildren, Kaleb and Jordan Wegner, and Sam Tassell; a sister; and her beloved dog, Zelda. Diana was a graduate of Mishawaka High School, class of 1956.

 

She worked for Dodges for 20 years, co-owned the Wander Inn for 14 years, and then worked in the clerk's office in the County City Building, South Bend, for 10 years. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association, was a volunteer and coordinator for Mike Hayes during the 2007 campaign, and was very active during the campaign. She was a member of Dodge Girls, Book Club, was a life member of Weight Watchers, and enjoyed the monthly luncheons with her aunts and uncle. The family would like to give special thanks to Diana's good friend, Mike.

 

Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, March 8, in the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to the services, with Brother Steve Nani officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Diana's name to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
