Anna Maria Weinkauf

Mar. 17, 1870 – Sept. 18, 1923

Mrs. Anna M. Weinkauf, age 51 years, 842 East Fourth street, died at St. Joseph’s hospital at 12:55 o’clock this morning of heart failure.  She was in failing health a number of years and last Thursday her trouble became acute.  She was removed to St. Joseph’s hospital where on Saturday she submitted to an operation for gall trouble and her condition was favorable until yesterday morning when her condition became serious owing to a weak heart.

 

Mrs. Weinkauf was formerly Miss Anna M. Reinwand and was born in Byron, Germany, Jan. 2, 1872.  She came to Mishawaka in 1890 and was married Aug. 9, 1893, to Michael Weinkauf who died Feb. 16, 1917.

 

Surviving are seven children, Joseph, Adam, Paul, Samuel, Katherine, Margaret and William Weinkauf, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Anna and Alta Marie Weinkauf, all of Mishawaka; two brothers, Balthasser Reinwand, of Mishawaka, and Joseph Reinwand, of Germany, and one half sister, Mrs. A. A. Krause, of Germany.

 

The body may be viewed this evening and Wednesday at the residence.  The funeral will be held Thursday morning from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic church.  Rev. John Bapst, assistant rector, will officiate. 

 

Burial is in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
