August Peter Weinkauf

August P. Weinkauf, a lifetime resident of Mishawaka, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in his home.  He had been ill since last November. 

 

Mr. Weinkauf was born in Mishawaka Aug. 31, 1879.  He married Oulda M. Dumont in St. Joseph Catholic church, South Bend, May 27, 1914.

 

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Dumond J. Weinkauf, of Mishawaka, and August E. Weinkauf, of South Bend; two daughters, Mrs. John Maggart, and Mrs. Albert Head, both of Osceola, this county; five grandchildren; one brother, Fred Weinkauf, of Mishawaka, and a sister, Mrs. Rose Lee, of Los Angeles, Calif.

 

Friends may call in the Bubb chapel until the funeral services which will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Monica’s Catholic church, Rev. Joseph H. Hennes, pastor will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. 

 

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the chapel.  Mr. Weinkauf was a member of St. Monica’s church and the Holy Name society of the church.

Pallbearers for August P. Weinkauf, aged 72, of 911 North Elizabeth street who died Thursday in his home, will be Wilfred F., Elmer E., and Fred E. Weinkauf, Delbert Calvert, Ronald Olson and Bernard Anson. 

 

The requiem high mass will be chanted by Rev. Joseph J. Hennes, pastor, in St. Monica’s Catholic church, at 9 a.m. Monday. 

 

Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery. 

 

The rosary will be recited in the Bubb chapel at 7:30 p.m. today.
