Richard L. Weis

Richard L. Weis, 62, of Dowagiac, Mich., passed away on Monday, May 29, in his home.
Richard was born on July 31, 1937, in Mishawaka, Ind., to Charles and Catherine (Huemmer) Weis.
He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was formerly employed by Contech of Dowagiac for 28 years. He was a member of Keeler General Baptist Church and the New Life Community Church of Dowagiac.
He married Noreen Deihl on May 16, 1970, in Dowagiac. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, Richard E. (Patty) Weis and John C. (Angie) Weis, both of Bloomingdale, Mich.; five grandchildren; a sister, Bernadette Stephens of Cincinnati, Ohio; and by a brother, Norbert Weis of Mishawaka, Ind.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, in Keeler General Baptist Church, with Pastor John Yusko officiating.
Memorials may be made to Cass County Hospice.
The Newell Funeral Home, Decatur, Mich., is in charge of arrangements.
