Willadean Weissfuss

Willadean "Dean" Weissfuss, 75, of Washington Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 7:02 p.m. Sunday, June 2, in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend. She was born on Sept. 15, 1926, in Dallas, Texas.

 

On Nov. 10, 1946, in Texas, as Willadean Cooper, she married Richard Weissfuss, who survives. Mrs. Weissfuss is also survived by three daughters, Rana (Michael) Witucki of Terre Haute, Ind., Janice Weissfuss of Dallas and Paula (Timothy) Butts of South Bend; and by five grandchildren, Allison and Jacob Witucki, both of Terre Haute, and Elaine, Sabrina and Melissa Butts, all of South Bend. Mrs. Weissfuss retired from Sears where she sold maintenance contracts. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was a longtime member of the Guys and Dolls Dance Club.

 

Services for Mrs. Weissfuss will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 6, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, South Bend, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, Memorial and Honors Program, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
