Rosa Lee Welsh, 78, of Woodmont Drive, South Bend, passed away at 3:00 a.m. Monday, April 25th, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Lee was born on Dec. 17, 1926, in Warren, IN, to Charles and Ruby (Trusler) Good. She was preceded in death by her parents.

 

Rosa is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Kevin) Swihart of Mishawaka; a son, Thomas (Marica) Welsh of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Jason R. (Krista) Foust, Jeremy C. Foust, Jennifer L. Foust and Jacqueline E. Swihart; one great-grandchild, Averi Rose Foust; and a brother, Joseph (Helen) Good of Mentone, IN.

 

Lee worked for L.S. Ayers for 23 years before retiring. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her personality and nature of unconditional kindness and friendship caused all with whom she interacted to care for and respect her. Those who were closest to her knew a rare experience of love.

 

There will be no visitation or services. Private family services will be held. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, has been entrusted with handling the arrangements.

 

Editor: As Rosa Lee Good she married Thomas F. Welsh on 6-30-1951 in St. Joseph County IN. He died 9-17-2002.
