Sister Mary Fausta White CSC

The requiem high mass will be offered in the Church of Loretto at 6 a.m. Friday for Sister Mary Fausta CSC, who died Wednesday morning in Saint Mary’s Convent, following a long illness. Burial will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus. Friends may call in the convent parlor.

Born in Newfoundland in 1877 she received her early education at St. John’s Newfoundland, coming to the United States in 1892, to the Sisters of the Holy Cross. She received the habit in 1893, and made her profession of final vows in 1899. During her community life she was missioned at St. Joseph’s in Pocatello, Idaho; Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah; and Holy Cross Convent at Notre Dame. She has been at St. Mary’s Convent since 1921.
