SOUTH BEND - Walter Albert Wilburn, 67 of South Bend, IN, formerly of Benton Harbor graduated from this life on Sunday April 11, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend. The visitation will be held on Monday April 19, 2010 at 11:00 am followed by the funeral at 12:00 pm at the New Paradise Baptist Church in Benton Harbor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Family Funeral Home, Benton Harbor. Was born November 2, 1942 in Benton Harbor MI to the late Rev. Chester Ivory Wilburn Sr. and Lillie Wilburn Buntyn, whom both preceded him in death. Walter was a graduate of Benton Harbor High School and Truck Driving School and was also a US Navy Veteran. He leaves to morn his beloved devoted friend, Glenda Neely; three brothers, Tyree Wilburn Sr. and Charles Billy Wilburn, of Benton Harbor, MI Chester Ivory Wilburn Jr. of Chicago, IL; three sisters Ruby Wilburn James Columbia SC, Alma Wilburn Moore, Benton Harbor, MI, Rebbie Eichelberger; three daughters, Glenda Smith of Kalamazoo, MI, Gwendolyn Webb of Dallas, TX and Shauncy Pleasant Wilburn of Nova Scotia, Canada; two sons, James Pleasant Wilburn of Nova Scotia, Canada and Tetie Wilburn of Detroit, Teti 'Jarvis" Wilburn . Walter was a great Entrepreneur for many years in Canada he finally ventured back to South Bend where he became a long distant truck driver. He enjoyed life and loved his family.
