Sister M. Fidelia CSC, died Wednesday night in the motherhouse of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s after a prolonged illness. Born Henrietta Rose Wolford in Plymouth, Ind. in 1875 and was educated in Plymouth and St. Angela’ Academy in Morris, Ill. Entering the Congregation at St. Mary’s in 1900 and receiving the habit the same year, she made her profession of final vows in 1906. During her community life she taught music and orchestra for many years, both at St. Joseph Academy and Assumption School, both in South Bend. She also taught in Chatsworth, Ill.; San Francisco; and established the music department at Conaty Memorial High School in Los Angeles.

 

A requiem high mass will be sung in the convent chapel at St. Mary’s at 5:45 a.m. Friday, followed by  burial in the community cemetery at 7:30 a.m. Friends may call at the novitiate parlors.
