George F. Wilkins

Mr. George F. Wilkins, 73, of North Shore Drive, South Bend, Ind., died after an extended illness at 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, in his home. Mr. Wilkins was born on March 19, 1925, in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He was a graduate of Kent State University, was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was a life member of the Elks Club. He retired in 1987 as past owner and president of Michiana Box and Crate, Inc., and Lake States Wholesale Lumber Company, Niles, Mich. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Wilkins; three daughters, Sarah Zovich of New York, N.Y., Julia Ciszewski of Rochester, N.Y., and Mary Alice Kiehl of South Bend; four stepchildren, Carol Graham of South Bend, William Voor, III, of Indianapolis, Ind., John Voor of South Bend and David Voor of Osceola, Ind.; and by 12 grandchildren.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Memorial codntributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
