Harold F. Wilkinson: (South Bend Tribune 9/29/1997)

Oct. 1, 1923 – Sept. 27, 1997 SOUTH BEND – Harold F. Wilkinson, 73, of Louise Lane, South Bend, Ind., died at 3:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Holy Cross Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Wilkinson was born on Oct. 1, 1923, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He retired in 1981 from the Bendix Corporation after 32 years of service. He was married on June 30, 1943, in St. Casimir Catholic Church, in South Bend, to Evelyn A. Klemczewski, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Veronica Kay (Charles) Horvath of South Bend; a son, Harold (Candi) Wilkinson, Jr., of Granger, Ind.: two grandsons, Mark and Brad Horvath; three great-grandchildren, Nicole, Anthony and Jesse Horvath; three sisters, Betty Hawn of South Bend, Judy Lacrone of Elkhart, Ind., Kathy Hamilton of South Bend; and by two brothers, Forrest “Buster” Fox and Donald Fox, both of South Bend. Mr. Wilkinson was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of the Bendix Management Club. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be held at 11 p.m. on Wednesday in the fuberal home. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
