Carrie Wilson

February 2, 1890 – October 27, 1970

Mrs. Carrie Wilson, 80, of 628 W Western Ave, died at 4:15 pm Tuesday in St Joseph’s Hospital after a two year illness.

Born February 2, 1890, in Minden LA, she resided here for 28 years coming from Mt Vernon TX.  On May 18, 1928, in Mt Vernon, she was married to Willie Wilson, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs Ernie Mae Blanton of South Bend, a stepson, Eules Wilson; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Alvineta Alexander, all of South Bend; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5:30 to 9pm in Clark’s Funeral Chapel.  Services will be held at 11am Saturday in Pilgrim Baptist Church, where Mrs. Wilson was a member.  Rev. Charles G. Rowlett, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
