Dianne M. Wilson

Jan. 5, 1944 - Feb. 23, 2000

Dianne Marie Wilson passed away at 6 p.m. on Feb. 23, after a sudden illness.

Dianne is survived by her husband, William Lee Wilson; her mother, Ann L. Duffy of South Bend; two sons, William Leigh Wilson of South Bend and Christopher Michael Wilson of Indianapolis; a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Lynn (See) Wilson; her grandson, Nicholas Marley Wilson; and her future daughter-in-law, Catherine Maryjane McCarren. In addition, she leaves behind countless friends and extended family members, all of whom she loved very much.

Dianne was born in Streator, Ill., on Jan. 5, 1944. Her father, PFC Elmore J. Duffy, died in January, 1945, in World War II. After graduating from high school, she completed nursing school in Kankakee, Ill.

While in nursing school, she met William Lee Wilson, who is now a CPA with Crowe Chizek and Company, LLP. They were married on Aug. 28, 1965, in Streator.

Dianne's pride and joy was her family.

On May 23, 1966, Dianne gave birth to William Leigh Wilson, who is now an attorney with the law firm of Hahn, Walz and Knepp in South Bend. He and Catherine Maryjane McCarren will be married in May of this year.

On June 3, 1974, Dianne gave birth to Christopher Michael Wilson, who is completing his medical training at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. In July of 1997, Christopher married Kimberly Lynn See.

On Dec. 10, 1999, Dianne experienced the joy of becoming a grandmother when Christopher and Kimberly's son, Nicholas Marley Wilson was born in Indianapolis.

Visitation will take place from 2 to 6 p.m., today, Feb. 26, at Welsheimer's Funeral Home on Cleveland Road in South Bend, Ind. A Rosary will be said at 4 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Fir Road in Granger, Ind., at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 28, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dianne's memory to the charity of the donor's selection.

Loved deeply by all of us who survive her, Dianne's presence in our lives will be missed greatly.
