Frank W. Wogoman

GRANGER - Frank W. Wogoman, 69, of Granger, IN, died Friday in Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1938, in Elkhart, IN. He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil Wogoman and Agnes (Merwin) Wogoman.

 

He married Jane Daffinee on July 31, 1965, in South Bend, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include his sister-in-law, Cathy (Jim) Heeter of Michigan City, IN; a nephew, Jim (Cindy) Daffinee of Westfield, IN; a nephew, Marc (Nott) Daffinee of Detroit, MI; a niece, Jill (Jason) Jaronik of Granger, IN; great-nephew, Camden Daffinee; great-nieces, Kenzie Daffinee and Isabelle Jaronik.

 

He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force in 1963, where he served as a photographer. He then worked for DeGroff Photography Studio from 1963-1964. He was at Wells Electronics from 1964 to 1971. He worked at Miles Laboratories/Bayer Corporation Diagnostics Division from 1972, retiring in 2000 as a mechanical design engineer. Frank holds 29 patents on various instruments. Frank enjoyed car shows, cruise-ins and traveling. He won several trophies with an Assembled 1936 Mercedes Roadster. He's been a member of the local barbershop chorus (Valleyaires) since 1975.

 

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, February 25, and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, in McGann Hay Funerals | Cremations | Gatherings, Granger Chapel, 13260 SR 23 (enter off Cherry Road). A gathering for friends and family at the Wogoman home will immediately follow Tuesday's calling. Donations may be made in Frank's name to the charity of your choice.
