Walter Wolfe

April 9, 1939 - Jan. 22, 1999

Walter Wolfe of 7769 N. Walker Road, New Carlisle, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Friday at his home.

In his lifetime he served his country. First in the Marines and then in the Air Force, retiring after twenty years of service. During that time he received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He then went on to retire from Air Products in Burns Harbor, Indiana.

He is survived by his mother, Irene Wolfe of New Carlisle; his wife, Gloria Wolfe of New Carlisle; his two children, Rick Wolfe of South Bend, and Tina Dunbar of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren, Priscilla, Melissa, and Jenny Wolfe, Blake and Brittney Dunbar.

Walt had a full life traveling all over the world and then settling down in New Carlisle for the last twenty years.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. EST on Monday, January 25, 1999 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, Indiana. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. EST today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on Monday in the funeral home.
