T. G. Wood

March 13, 1896 – November 17, 1970

 

Theodore G. (Vujovich) Wood, 74, of 2335 Leer St., consular special representative of Yugoslavia in the US from 1923 to 1927, died at 3am today in University Hospital, Ann Arbor MI, after an illness of six weeks.

 

Wood, who filed for candidacy for the Republican nomination for congressman for the 3rd District in 1962, was an attorney specializing in naturalization and immigration laws.

 

Born in Serbia, March 13, 1896, he came to South Bend in 1920 from Chicago.  In 1949 in Manistee MI, he married Margaret McDonald, who died in 1957.  On May 12, 1958, in South Bend he married Leona McNeel, who survives, along with many nieces and nephews.

 

He was a member of the St Joseph County Bar Association, St Joseph Lodge 45 F. and A.M., the Scottish Rite and Orak Temple.
