Benjamin Harrison Wray

Benjamin Harrison Wray, 76, of 518 N. Main St., died at 8:15 a.m. today in Healthwin Hospital after an illness of 18 months. Mr. Wray had been a salesman for Romy Hammes Ford Co. for 35 years.

 

Born July 6, 1888, in Norman, Ind., he had lived here since 1929, coming from Terre Haute. He married Florence Brown in Seymour, Ind., on Oct. 20, 1909. She survives along with three sons, G. Robert and Carl E., both of South Bend, and Winfred, of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Borden of South Bend and Mrs. Maureen Detzler, of Oswego, Ill.; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Truman, of Norman, and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Clampett, of Overton, Nev. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the Welsheimer Funeral Home.

Services for Benjamin H. Wray, 518 N. Main St., who died Thursday, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Fassett, associate pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Floyd Parisol, Hubert Stulz, Ray Pape, Paul Dillon, A. A. Danner and H. L. Keith. Friends may call at the funeral home.
