Pauline Yandl (Aug. 18, 1914 - July 11, 1998)

Pauline (Helling) Yandl, 83, of South Bend died Saturday morning. Mrs. Yandl was born Aug. 18, 1914, in South Bend. On February 3, 1940, she married George M. Yandl who died Aug. 3, 1995.

 

Surviving is a daughter, Beverly Green of South Bend; one son, George A. Yandl of Painesdale, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lucas of South Bend; and a sister-in-law, Sister Joan Grande, CSC of St. Mary's.

 

Two sons preceded in death (Richard G. Yandl, William A. Yandl). Three sisters preceded in death (Marguerite Thilman, Evelyn Nau, Ann Snyder).

 

Mrs. Yandl was a former employee of the Studebaker Corporation, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, and a graduate of Central High School.

 

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends may call 4 - 8 Monday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where a Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery.

 

Memorials may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, Inc.
