Vinton B. Yardley

SOUTH BEND - Vinton B. Yardley, 91, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of South Bend, died at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday in Eldorado Retirement Community, Sun City. Mr. Yardley retired in 1967 from Dodge Division of Reliance Electric Co. as manager of engineering sales after 41 years of service. He was born Nov. 15, 1902, in Kansas City, Kan., and lived in South Bend until moving to Arizona in 1991.

 

On July 16, 1938, in Mishawaka, he married Marjorie A. Parett. She survives, with a brother, Arthur of Overland Park, Kan. He was a member of Mishawaka Kiwanis Club, Dodge Quarter Century Club and Northern Indiana Historical Society.

 

Services were held today in Sunland Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Sun City. Services and burial will be held at a later date in South Bend. Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka, is in charge of local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call two hours before services in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.
