Dolores Young "Dodie"

NEW CARLISLE -Dolores "Dodie" Young, 81, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009, in her home. She was born on June 1, 1928, in North Judson, IN, to the late Jennings and Amy (Richardson) Lain, and had lived in this area since 1977, coming from Highland, IN. She graduated from North Judson High School. On November 26, 1953, she married Donald "Tony" Young, who preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by her daughter, Ann (Victor) Giammona, and her son, Dale Young, both of Highland, IN; her daughter, Kay (Ted) Juszkiewicz of Mill Creek, IN; and five grandchildren, Anthony Young, Vincent Giammona, Dale Young, Tony and Josh Juszkiewicz. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell Lain, and by her first husband, Henry "Hank" Kozubik. Dolores was an avid bowler and a member and secretary of the Mad Mamas Bowling League in New Carlisle. She enjoyed music, crossword and Sudoku puzzles, and was a diehard Cubs fan. Dolores loved her dogs, especially her faithful companions, Missy and Molly. She was the best mother and grandmother in the world and a friend to all. She will be dearly missed!
