MISHAWAKA - Robert W. Young, 70, of Gregory Lane, died at 9:11 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital of natural causes. Mr. Young retired from Parkway Distributors, Wakarusa, as a truck driver.

He was born April 3, 1923, in Tulsa, Okla., and lived in South Bend since 1925, coming from Tulsa. On July 17, 1943, in South Bend, he married Betty J. Meyers. She died Dec. 17, 1985. On April 6, 1991, in Mishawaka, he married Anna Catherine Horn. She survives with a daughter, Susan K. Gay of South Bend; a son, Robert E. of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Donna Griffin and Mary White, both of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Velma Taylor of Jal, N.M., and Mary Alice Bridgeman of Catoosa, Okla. A daughter, Carol A. Dowlut, and a son, Ronald W., preceded him in death. He was a veteran of World War II and member of American Legion Post 303.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in McGann Funeral Home, 2313 E. Edison Road, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert W. Young Memorial Fund, in care of AAA Federal Credit Union, South Bend.
