Concepcion L. Yu

Concepcion L. Yu, 82, of Hunting Ridge Trail, Granger, Ind., died at 2:25 a.m., Wednesday, in her home. Mrs. Yu was a retired pharmacist. She was born May 1, 1914, in Makato, Aklan Philippines.

 

On Nov. 30, 1955, in the Philippines, as Concepcion Legaspi, she married Feliciano Yu. He died Jan. 26, 1994. She is survived by a son, Dr. Peter L. Yu of Granger; two brothers, Eddie Legaspi of San Francisco, Calif. and Dr. Ramon Legaspi of Kalibo, Aklan Philippines; several sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; and grand-nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Granger, of which Mrs. Yu was a member. Rev. Peter Jarret, C.S.C., will be the celebrant. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a rosary service will be at 6 p.m., Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
