Agnes W. Zablocki

Agnes W. Zablocki, 94, formerly of West Dunham Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Regency Place. She was born on March 1, 1906, in Terre Coupee, Ind., and was the daughter of the late John and Maryann (Bozych) Malkowski.

 

On May 29, 1923, in South Bend, as Agnes Malkowski, she married Stanley Zablocki, who preceded her in death on April 28, 1995. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ernest Zablocki; and by a grandson, Tom Zablocki. Mrs. Zablocki retired in 1971 from the South Bend Community School Corporation. Mrs. Zablocki was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church, the Civic Club, Altar Society and Senior Citizens of St. Casimir.

 

She is survived by a son, Stanley H. (Rita) Zablocki of South Bend; six grandchildren, Becky (Marion) Kuczmanski of Granger, Ind., Ruth Jones of Mishawaka, Ind., Michael (Jolie) Zablocki of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Ralph (Robin) Zablocki of Three Rivers, Mich., Philip (Norma) Zablocki of Pleasanton, Calif., and Carl (Cindy) Zablocki of Lancaster, Pa.; and by 12 great-grandchildren.

 

Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary was held at 2:30 p.m. Relatives and friends will meet at 11 a.m. today, Jan. 5, in St. Casimir Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. However, there will be no procession to the cemetery.
