MISHAWAKA - Edward H.F. Zahner, 90,
of 12889 Madison Road, died at 7 a.m. Saturday in Countryside
Place Nursing Home. Mr. Zahner was a farmer. He was born Nov. 29,
1903, in Penn Township.
On Dec. 31, 1929, in Wakarusa, he married
Minnie Berger. She survives with three daughters, Rosemary
Smith, Margaret Copp and Verna Martin, all
of Mishawaka; two sons, Eugene of Auburn, Ind., and Jerry of
Wakarusa; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was a
member of Zion United Church of Christ, Wakarusa, where he was a
former elder, and Farm Bureau of St. Joseph County.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the
church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wakarusa. Friends
may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Rieth, Rohrer, Ehret &
Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in
the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
