Anselmo “Primo” Zanotti

March 14, 1885 - April 11, 1980

Mishawaka - Anselmo “Primo” Zanotti, 95, of 202 W. 12th Street, died Friday in his home, after a brief illness. He was born on March 14, 1885 in Santarchanglo di Romagna, Italy, and moved to Mishawaka in 1926 from Iowa.

 

He married Julia Bisognani in Iowa, and she died in 1918. He married Inez Perassini on March 19, 1920 in Santarchanglo, and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Erma A. Brasini, Mary H. Vernasco and Julia Baugher, and a son Nino, all of Mishawaka; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson, and a brother, August of Italy.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 1 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the Hahn-Pefflet-DeVos Funeral Chapel. Zanotti retired in 1950 after 27 years at Uniroyal, and was a member of St. Bavo’s Cathoilic Church, the DeAmicis Club and Aerie 2083 Fraternal order of Eagles. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Bavo’s Church. Rev. Robert Mahony, assistant pastor will officiate, Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
