Nino Zanotti

June 15, 1915 - May 20, 1997

MISHAWAKA - Nino Zanotti, 81, formerly of 14th Street, died at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mr. Zanotti was born June 15, 1915, in Lehigh, Iowa, and lived in this area most of his life.

On June 24, 1939, in St. Bavo's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married Inez Poletti. She died Feb. 7, 1991. Mr. Zanotti is survived by one daughter, Sharon (Lloyd) Burrow of Bedford, Va.; and two sons, Don (Sherry) Zanotti and Brian Zanotti, both of Mishawaka. Nino is also survived by five grandchildren, Steve Burrow of Manassas Park, Va., Dawn (Scott) Caldarella of Centerville, Va., Dana (Tim) Marcotte of South Bend, and Ryan Zanotti and Rachel Zanotti, both of Mishawaka; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Marcotte and Tony Marcotte, both of South Bend; and three sisters, Erma A. Brasini, Mary H. Vernasco and Julia Baugher, all of Mishawaka.

Mr. Zanotti was the owner of the former Nino's Bar in Mishawaka from 1951 to 1991. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mishawaka and a World War II Army veteran. He was also a member of DeAmicis Club, Eagles Aerie 2083, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, American Legion Post 168 and N.I.A.S.H.F.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth St., Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Friday.
