Leo S. Zarembka

Leo S. Zarembka, 90, of Bonds Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 12:10 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in Hospice House. He was born on April 5, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

He was retired from the Adams Engineering Company and was a former employee of the Huckins Tool & Die Company.

He was married on Nov. 11, 1931, in South Bend, to Theresa D. Bonczynski, who survives.

He is also survived by three sons, Ronald (Arlene) Zarembka of East Providence, R.I., Robert (Marcia) Zarembka of Akron, Ohio, and Gene (Roberta) Zarembka of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; and by two sisters, Wanda Matuszak of South Bend and Henrica Wishing of Altamonte Springs, Fla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Matthew, who died in 1997.

Mr. Zarembka was a member of St. Stanislaus B&M Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Young Men's Society.

Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Services will be at noon on Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus B&M Catholic Church, 415 N. Brookfield Street, South Bend, IN 46628-2326.
