Casimer J. Zarobinski

February 24, 1907 – May 31, 1997

 

Casimer J. Zarobinski, 90, of St Joseph’s Care Center-West, formerly of Fisher Street, South Bend, died at 1:15pm Saturday, at St Joseph’s Care Center-West.

 

Mr. Zarobinski was born February 24, 1907, in South Bend and he was a lifelong area resident.  He was an employee of the former Studebaker Corp.  He retired in 1972 from the St Joseph County Surveyor’s Office.

 

He was married on April 21, 1934, in South Bend, to Virginia Mackowski, who died on May 15, 1993.

 

He is survived by three daughters, Janet (Paul) Futa of North Liberty, Sylvia (Chester) Wieczorek and Georgianne (Ronald) Compton, both of South Bend; 10 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister, Mary Pawlak of South Bend.

 

Friends may call form 2 to 8pm Tuesday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.  A rosary will be said at 4:00 Tuesday. Services will be held at 9am Wednesday in ST Casimir Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum in the St Joseph Cemetery. 

 

Mr. Zarobinski was a member of the American Social Civic Club of St Casimir Church, the Westside Democratic and Civic Club and the UAW Local 5 Union.
