Mary Zatarga

Mrs. Mary Zatarga, 81, formerly of 412 S. Arnold St., died in Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. She had been ill for one year.

 

She was born in Poland, Jan 1, 1880, and came to South Bend as a child.

 

Her husband Frank died in 1951.

 

She is survived by two sons, Edward, South Bend and Sylvester, Mishawaka, and two grandchildren.

 

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Monday in the Kasniewski and Son Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Hedwige’s Catholic Church, Rev. Boleslaw Sztuczko CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.

 

She was a member of the St. Hedwige Parent-Teachers Assn, the Daughters of Poland Group No. 21 of the Polish Alliance, the St. Berniece Society Group No. 834 Polish Roman Catholic Union, the Apostleship of Prayer, the Women’s Civic Club, and the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary.

 

Editor: The obituary says her husband died in 1951, but his obituary shows he died July 10, 1950.
