Lester A. Zeiger

Lester Zeiger, 80, of 1421 Donald, died at 9 p.m. Saturday at home after a lengthy illness.

 

He retired from the University of Notre Dame in 1968.

 

Born March 23, 1903 in Plymouth, he had lived in the South Bend area since 1940.

 

On Nov. 25, 1950 in South Bend, he married Elizabeth Wilhelm. She survives along with two sister, Mrs. Esther Myers of Plymouth and Mrs. Edna Gunderman of Bremen.

 

Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where arrangements are being made.

 

He was a member of Council 1878, Knights of Columbus, Saint Matthew Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society.

Services for Lester Zeiger, 80, of 1421 Donald, who died about 9 p.m. Saturday in his home after a lengthy illness, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Most Rev. Joseph R. Crowley, pastor will officiate, and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery.

 

Friend may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home in Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
