Richard R. Zeiger
Richard R. Zeiger, 82, of New Road,
Bremen, IN, died at 11 p.m. Friday in his residence.He was born
on March 25, 1923, in Mishawaka to Louis and Emma Rosa (Bueche)
Zeiger.
On August 1, 1946, in South Bend, he married
Ruth Truex, she survives along with a daughter, Kathryn Truax
of Key West, Florida, and a son, Robert L. (Kathy) Zeiger of
Mishawaka, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Michael
R., Daniel S. and Katherine M. Zeiger, all of Mishawaka, and a
sister, Virginia (Joseph) Trippel of Mishawaka. Two
sisters and five brothers preceded in death.
Richard graduated from the South Bend
College of Commerce.
He retired form the St. Joseph County
Treasurer's office where he was an accountant having served there
from 1981 until 1989. Prior to that, he was with Whitcomb &
Keller Realty Company and prior to that, in sales with the
Eckrich Meat Company.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Monday) in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN, and one hour prior to service time on Tuesday in the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
March 28, 2006, in the Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Serafino,
Pastor of Osceola, Grace Brethren Church officiating. Interment
will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.
