Thelma M. Zeiger, 86, residing on Catalpa, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 2:25 a.m. Friday, March 26, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center-Mishawaka.

She was born on Jan. 26, 1918, in South Bend, Ind., to Clifford and Evelyn (Moore) Bolenbaugh, and lived in this area all of her life. On April 18, 1938, in South Bend, as Thelma Bolenbaugh, she married Henry "Hank" J. Zeiger, who preceded her in death on March 3, 1994.

Mrs. Zeiger is survived by her son, Daniel (Connie) Zeiger of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Sean (Rachel) Lange, Jody (Jim) Muller, Dan (Darcy) Zeiger and Lisa and Greg Somerville; eight great- grandchildren, Greg Somerville II, Brandon Somerville, Charlie Lange, Tyler Muller, Brynlee Muller, Joshua Zeiger, Jessica Jackman and Nathan Jackman; and her sister, Fern (Chuck) Haenes of South Bend.

Mrs. Zeiger attended Mishawaka Grace Brethren Church, Day Road. She served as a volunteer at Fountainview Nursing Home, Morningside and St. Joseph Day Care Center, where she led Bible studies and church services from 1981-1995. She enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Davey Troxell and Rev. Don Francis will officiate.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend, Ind.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. today in the funeral home.
