Kevin H. Zeiler

March 27, 1967 - Feb. 6, 1999

Kevin H. Zeiler, 31 of West Colfax Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died of natural causes on Saturday evening, Feb. 6, in his apartment.

Kevin was born on March 27, 1967, in Sarasota, Fla., to Alfred H. and Virginia J. (Ciesiolka) Zeiler, Jr., and was a lifetime area resident.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Virginia and Dennis ''Dan'' Young of South Bend; two sisters, Kathryn Zeiler of Pasadena, Calif., and Karen Demske of Mishawaka, Ind.; his maternal and paternal grandfathers, Joseph Ciesiolka of South Bend and Alfred H. Zeiler, Sr., of Mishawaka; three stepsisters, Tracy Smith of Elkhart, Ind., and Nikki Young and Kelly Long of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and by a half brother, Kurt Zeiler of Mishawaka.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street, with the Very Rev. Frederick Mann of Cathedral of St. James Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Kevin was an outstanding cook and a very talented artist. He showed great compassion and was unselfish in giving of himself and his time to wherever and whenever needed. Kevin expressed openly and frequently his gratitude for his friends and the blessings they shared. Linda Porter and Vicky and Jon Freeman are grateful for Kevin's loving presence and positive influence in their lives. He will be deeply missed.
