Edward J. Zeitler

February 14, 1893 - April 14, 1961

Edward J. Zeitler, 68, of 136 N. Notre Dame Avenue, died at 4:20pm Friday in St Joseph's Hospital after two weeks illness. 

Born in South Bend, February 14, 1893, he lived here all his life.  On July 27, 1913, he was married in St Joseph MI, to Hattie Kashmer, who survives.  Surviving also are a daughter, Mrs. C.J. Herman; a son, John Edward, and six grandchildren, all of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7pm today at the Orvis Funeral Home where the funeral will be held at 2pm Monday.  Rev. Edward Brueseke, of Zion Evangelical Reformed Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Mr. Zeitler was a member of the church.

Pallbearers at services for Edward J. Zeitler at 2pm today in the Orvis Funeral Home were Kurt Haller, Otto Scope, Daniel Richardson, Charles Dillman, George Waechter and Wolf Waechter.  Mr. Zeitler who resided at 136 N. Notre Dame Avenue, died Friday.
