SOUTH BEND - Daniel J. Zemanek Sr., 68, of North Meade Street, died at 1:28 a.m. Saturday in Michiana Community Hospital. Mr. Zemanek retired from Bendix Corp. He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Chicago.

On June 14, 1952, in South Bend, he married Evelyn Kloska. She survives with a son, Daniel Jr. of South Bend; a grandchild; and his mother, Anna Kauchak of Hanna. Mr. Zemanek was a member of American Legion Post 284 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Golden Hills Post 8748. He was a World War II veteran.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hanna Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
