MISHAWAKA - Ellen M. Zerbe, 92, of 403 Calhoun Street, died about 7:35 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness. She was born March 22, 1895 in Toledo, Ohio, and had lived in Mishawaka since 1898.

On Aug. 7, 1912, in Mishawaka, as Ellen DeClercq, she married Ellis Zerbe. He died Jan. 17, 1976. Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth R. Keller of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place at Michiana Crematory, South Bend. Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or St. Joseph Hospital. Mrs. Zerbe was a member of the church and its rosary society and an honorary member of the Legion of Mary.
